The future of radio – and the best radio of today at Europe´s largest radio conference

A Rolling Stone producer, a handful of social media experts and radio´s best storytellers and personalities. Those are a few of the speakers at next years Radiodays Europe in Barcelona next year.
The first programme has now been released for Radiodays Europe in Barcelona, Spain 15-16 March. A wide range of topics will be covered - from new formats, content development, new research and music programming trends - to radio´s future in cars and on mobile phones. There will also be sessions with focus on business development, branding and getting new revenue streams. 
Here are some of the confirmed speakers:

  Julian Treasure – sound branding expert on the psychological and commercial effects of sound
Ira Glass - a dazzling storyteller and programme host of the legendary program "This American Life", USA

Claire Neal - producer of the “Ronnie Wood Show” about the story behind the success on radio of this Rolling Stone

Alan Friedman - economic correspondent who covers the financial crisis from Italy, reporting from “the eye of the storm”

·         Chris O´Connel - award winning UK radio personality on Absolute radio
·         Claire Wardle - media researcher and social media expert, UK
·          Giel Beelen - leading Dutch radio-DJ and founder of the "Serious Request" glass box charity radio show
·         Annika Lantz – provocative talk show host from Sweden will go “outside the box”
·         David G. Hall – media strategist and former programme director of several stations in Los Angeles, USA will talk about American and European talk radio formats
·         Pete Waterman - legendary songwriter and producer of artists like Kylie Minogue and Cliff Richard

- The passion for radio is what brings us together. We are “radio centric”, but we also bring leading experts from outside radio, says Anders Held, one of the Project Managers.
Radiodays Europe has a total of 40 sessions over two days. Nearly 30 sessions are presented in the preliminary programme (see More sessions and many more speakers will be presented in the final programme due to be released 10th of January.
- You´ll hear dozens of broadcasters sharing their experiences and telling their stories, from commercial as well as public stations. That makes Radiodays Europe unique and the true meeting point for European radio, says Anders Held.
Radiodays Europe is Europe´s biggest and most important radio conference supported by European radio organisations such as EBU, AER and egta and partners in more than a dozen European countries. Last year participants came from 45 countries. Next years conference in Barcelona 15-16 March is hosted with the kind support of broadcaster partners in Catalonia and Spain.
