Asian radio day organized by Radiodays Europe

In connection with Asia Media Summit in Manado, Indonesia, Radiodays Europe organized a full day workshop on challenges for radio in the digital age on 28th of May. 

Participants from 28 countries lined up for a final picture after the workshop in Manado.

It was the first radio event in 10 years at the Asia Media Summit, which is an annual conference hosted by Asia Pacific Institution for Broadcasting Development. Broadcasters from 28 countries were present at the radio day, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Afghanistan.

- The feedback has been very positive, says Project Manager Anders Held, who was responsible for the Asian event. One comment was that “Now I´m convinced radio is not dying”, and that is rewarding, since radio is a big and important media in many parts of Asia.
