General Manager of RAI, IT

Luigi Gubitosi is the General Manager of RAI, the Italian public broadcasting system, since July 2012.
From November 2012 to July 2013 he was the Country Executive for Italy & Greece and Head of Corporate & Investment Banking Italy in Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
In 2005 he started in Wind Telecomunicazioni as Chief Financial Officer then was Chief Executive Officer from July 2007 to April 2011.
Luigi Gubitosi has been Chief Financial Officer of Fiat Group till July 2005 and before he held various positions within Fiat Group where he joined in 1986, foremost Finance Director and Head of Treasury. He was Chairman of Fiat Partecipazioni and member of the Board of Fiat Auto, Ferrari, CNH, Iveco, Itedi, Comau and Magneti Marelli.
He teaches Corporate Finance at the Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. He is a member of Consiusa (Council for relations between Italy and USA). He also sits on the Board of Oxfam Italia and Agenda Sant'Egidio, two charitable organizations.
In the past he was Vice Chairman of Confindustria Servizi Innovativi e Tecnologici (CSIT), of Asstel and member of the Confindustria Tax and Corporate Governance Committee. He was also member of the Board of Directors of F2i Sgr SpA (Infrastructure Private Equity Fund), Maire Tecnimont SpA (Engineering and contracting company active mainly in the oil & gas sector) and of Cometa (Pension Fund of the metal workers, the largest in Italy). He was member of the Italian Olympic Chess Committee of Turin 2006 Chess Olympic Games.
Luigi Gubitosi obtained a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainbleau, after a degree in Law from the University in Naples and Economic studies at the London School of Economics.
Luigi Gubitosi is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has been Chairman of the European Advocacy Committee.
