Results from participant survey

“Inspiring and definitely a necessary event”

It was mostly thumbs up for RDE in Milan in the recently conducted survey among participants. 77%  said they were very satisfied or satisfied with the event, 8% were not satisfied.

Most appreciated is the great variety, the number of sessions, the networking opportunities and the high quality of content. Least appreciated was the lunch catering, though the venue was good and the exhibition was better than in previous years. All feedback, good and bad, is important to improve the event.

About 1/3 visited for the first time, 2/3 had been to RDE before. 89% say they are very likely or somewhat likely (maybe) to attend next year in Paris, 8% not likely and 4% don´t know.

Top 10 sessions

Among the top 10 most liked sessions were

  • Mark Little (The golden age of news),
  • Dennis Clark (Making radio personalities relevant),
  • Anna Sale (Death, sex and money),
  • Cajsa Lindberg and Ben Cooper (For the next generation),
  • Adam Ferrier (If a psychologist ran radio stations),
  • Helen Thomas (the Chris Evans Breakfast show)
  • and Elvis Duran (Z100).

They were all among the sessions ranked well over 4 on a 1-5 scale.

A few words about the pricing.  Radiodays Europe is a self-financing, not-for-profit association.  As such we have to find ways of covering our costs, but have no ambition to earn profit.  Radiodays Catch-Up is an additional service which adds considerable costs for video recording, editing in the slides, developing the web shop and paying transaction fees.  It is reasonable that these costs are paid by those who want this service - and that the participants at the conference who have already paid participant fee get a substantial discount on the normal price.

The Eiffel tower, the Arc of Triumph and the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile Hotel in the foreground. The low building right by the hotel is Palais de Congres de Paris where Radiodays Europe will take place on 13 – 15 March 2016.

In the very same building as the conference venue there is the metro station Porte Maillot on the line leading from the Louvre via Champs Elysee and the Arc of Triumph to the new technology center of Paris, La Defense.
