Italian radio welcomes us to Milan

Italian radio industry meets to support Radiodays Europe in Milan

In early October representatives from the Italian radio industry, including public broadcaster Rai, the largest of the private radio groups and local radio stations, met in Milan to be part of the planning for Radiodays Europe (RDE) in March 2015. There was a high level of interest from all parties with representatives from many stations wanting to take part in RDE 2015.

"It is unusual that the whole industry comes together for a common project, everyone is committed to making Radiodays in Milan a successful event", said radio presenter Filippo Solibello from Rai in Milan.

RDE Milan is supported by the public broadcaster Rai, the industry body Confindustria Radio Telivisioni (private radios), the city of Milan and Expo 2015.

Milan is not only the radio capital and financial centre of Italy, it is also known for its creative industries such as fashion, design and culture. In 2015 Milan will be a media hot spot as it plays host to the Expo 2015, attracting millions of visitors from around the globe.

Want to spend the weekend in Milan?

What do you associate with Milan?  Maybe fashion, football, opera and Leonardo da Vinci?
Milan is regarded as one of the fashion capitals of the world – along with New York, Paris and London.  Fashion brands like Valentino, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Armani and Dolce & Gabbana, are headquartered in the city.
Milan is the only city in Europé with two football teams which have won the European Cup/Champions League – AC Milan and FC Inter.
Milan hosts La Scala operahouse, considered one of the most prestigious operahouses in the world - showing Mozart's "Lucio Sillo" 14.3.
The famous ”Last supper” by Leonardo da Vinci is to be seen in Milan (book in advance!) as well as his many future predating models at the technology museum.
