    Newsletter for
    participants at
    Radiodays Europe
    Berlin 17 - 19.3.13

Welcome to Berlin in
a little more than a week!

This mail is a reminder of three things you may need to plan now:

-    Hotel nights for the time in Berlin
-    Sunday workshops
-    Sunday Berlin Tours

First come, first serve!
Now rooms available at the speaker hotel near all venues

Would you like to stay at a cool, modern Berlin hotel near all the venues and together with the speakers, press and staff of Radiodays Europe?

Now you have the chance!  Radiodays Europe has rented a quota of rooms at Indigo/Holiday Inn hotels 500 meter from the conference venue Berliner Congress Center – and within comfortable walking distance of all the venues we use.

After having filled up with speakers, staff and press we still have rooms available for the duration of the conference from Sunday 17th to Tuesday 19th.  If you want more nights, that can also be arranged.

The room price is 100 Euro with free wifi-connection included + breakfast at 8 Euro.  Take a look at the hotel on the web, but book your room directly with us at camilla.kampevold@nrk.no.

First come, first serve – and you get respons to your request within an hour.

Do not forget to register at a Sunday workshop or Berlin Tour - and/or at the Monday field trip to Haus des Rundfunks

We know, when you have conference registration, flights and hotel in order, you think you can plan the details when you have arrived in Berlin.  And so you can.

But for our planning of capacity for the pre-conference activities Sunday afternoon and the field trip to the historical Haus des Rundfunks Monday afternoon, it would be very good to know roughly how many who intend to participate.  If you pre-register you are granted a place.  If you take it spontaneously on the spot, you leave it to chance.

Workshops.  You have three workshops to choose between: Editorial Leadership by BBC College of Journalism, Verifying content on the social web with Claire Wardle and Radio Sales Boot Camp with Paul Weyland.  All three offer an unique opportunity to establish and update highly relevant competence for radio development.  Read more and register.

Berlin Tours.  Or you can join one out of the four Berlin tours to get to know also some sides of Berlin that only the Berliners know about and love.  Follow the historical trail along the border-line of the city, experience the Sunday life there today, bicycle the city center with guide or explore the German gaming tradition from 1980’s until today.  Read more and register.

Haus des Rundfunks.  And finally – on Monday afternoon – consider visiting one of the oldest broadcasting houses in Europe, which also has been through Germany’s dramatic radio history, and now rooms a future oriented trimedial newsroom.  Read more about the fieldtrip to Haus des Rundfunks and register.

You will get another mail from us in the beginning of next week with practical details before the conference.

We are looking forward to see all of you in Berlin
