SHARING RADIO’S FUTURE
Berlin 17 - 19 March 2013

Today – on World Radio Day – we are proud to announce the full Programme Matrix for Radiodays Europe in Berlin 17 – 19 March 2013.  It includes 50 sessions and 100 speakers.   Under the motto ”Sharing Radio’s Future” they will share the best of radio today and explore the challenges for radio tomorrow.

NEW ON THE PROGRAMME

  • Ross Adams from Spotify
  • Dan Biddle from Twitter.
  • Music industry keynote by Tony Wadsworth, chairman of British Phonographic Industry and former CEO of EMI UK & Ireland.
  • ”Think like an Adman and sell like a Madman!”, an hilarious session by the US Sales strategist Paul Weyland.
  • Just as hilarious from the deep south – J. Mark Gillman from Cape Town in South Africa.
  • Tanja Ötvös from Radio Hamburg and Mark Findlay from Capital FM London will discuss music programming.
  • Jens-Peter Marquardt, NDR, Germany, Marit Sirum-Eikre, NRK, Norway and Mathias Pfaff, Regiocast, Germany will give fresh input on changes in your newsroom.
  • From Australia comes Head of Content in Southern Cross Austereo, Craig Bruce, to speak about ”The Talent Pipeline”.
  • A top level advertiser perspective on radio will be served us by Bob Suppiah in BskyB.

The greatest challenge for the participants may be to choose which of the four parallell sessions to follow.  Study your alternatives at any given time in the Programme Matrix.

CONFERENCE: BE SURE TO REGISTER IN TIME

Last year Radiodays Europe in Barcelona was sold out a month before the event.  Therefore the Berlin venue was booked with extended capacity.  Still – the registrations now coming in indicate that the conference may be sold out even this year.

So, if you plan to come, be sure to register in time.  Registration.

WORKSHOPS: INTERESTED IN LEADERSHIP, SOCIAL MEDIA OR SALE?

Are you among the 700 already registered for Radiodays Europe?  Or are you among those who intend to come, but have not enlisted yet?  Then you have an additional option to consider.

This year Radiodays Europe offers three pre conference workshops on Sunday 17th from 1430 till 1715.  This is high quality workshops which are open exclusively for participants at the Radiodays Europe conference at an extra cost of 100 euro + 19% German VAT.  The workshops have limited capacity and will be filled by pre-registration at a ”first come, first served”-principle.

The alternatives you can choose between are:

  • Avoiding rumours and hoaxes.  Verifying content from the social web.  Claire Wardle, Director, Storyful, Ireland
  • The Effective Newsroom Leader.  Editorial Leadership Workshop.  Jane Kinghorn and Mia Costello, BBC College of Journalism, UK
  • Radio Sales Bootcamp.  Paul Weyland, sales strategist, trainer and author, USA

ONLY A FEW COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIPS OPTIONS LEFT

An unprecedented run on RDE sponsorship and exhibition offers has lead to an early sell-out of a number of commercial partnership options for Berlin 2013. RDE have reacted by opening new session slots for company-produced presentations, and additional exhibition surface.

Should you wish to be part of Radiodays Europe's 2013 commercial partners, please hurry to have a look at our catalogue and contact frederik@radiodayseurope.com for any further information.
