Tips for the day, programme changes and other media about us

The Radio Invasion of Berlin is on!  During the weekend and Monday morning more than 1100 radio lovers from 50 countries are joining togethere to discuss, share and celebrate the future of radio.  Warm welcome to you all!

Here come the tips for the day, some minor programme changes and a new daily newsletter about what others write and report about Radiodays Europe.

Finding Sunday's venues

The Fernsehturm you can see from all over Berlin.  All the venues of the Radiodays Europe events are nearby.  Navigate by this map!

1400/1430 Meetup at Berliner Congress Center (bcc)

- Workshops: Still a few places free in BBC's Editorial leadership and Paul Weylands Radio Sales Bootcamp.  Those who have pre-registered on our web are granted places.  Others can meet-up and fill up extra places.

Claire Wardle's social media workshop is cancelled du to illness.

- Tours: Only places free on Spoiled Milk's computer games tour.  The three others are fully booked.  Pre-registered have reserved places.  Others can meetup and join extra places on the Spoiled Milk's tour starting at 1445.

1900 - 2100 Welcoming reception at Parochialkirche, Klosterstrasse 67

Meet and mingle with old and new radio friends from 50 countries.  This will be the big welcoming get-together with drink and snacks.  Here you will also get your participant badge and avoid Monday morning qeue for it at bcc.  Accompanying partners are also welcome to this Sunday social event.

Monday morning - bcc opens at 800

Be there early to collect your participant badge (if you have not done it already) and your 68-pages conference programme with all about all sessions and speakers.  Then you will avoid queue towards the conference opening at 900 and have plenty of time for morning coffee, mingling with radio friends and planning your conference day.

Three programme changes

Monday 1215-1300 White Room.  "Social Media Handbook for Journalists".  A presentation of this by a speaker from Swedish Radio replaces "True or false?  Verifying content from the social web" by Claire Wardle.

Monday 1400-1445 Yellow Room.  "What does Radio look like?" by Joe Harland, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra replaces the presentation by .Marcus Tepper, WDR

Tuesday 1500-1545 Yellow Room.  "What does Radio look like?" by Joe Harland, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra goes out leaving more time for "Smart TV apps for radio" and "Share your sounds".

Radiodays Europe to Get Underway
Those who cannot attend Radiodays Europe, held March 17–19 in Berlin, will still be able to experience the conference’s highlights through the organization and its media partners.  Websites (including Radio World’s) and podcasts (such as Trevor Dann’s Radio Talk Europe) will cover the event for those interested. Follow other developments on Twitter through the hashtag “#rde13” and on Facebook.com/RadiodaysEurope.

CrowdRadio - eine eigene App für die Radiodays Europe 2013
Ein Jahr haben Hannes Mehring und seine Mitarbeiter bei der Ideenschmiede »frischr« aus Erfurt in die Entwicklung einer interaktiven Smartphone-App namens »CrowdRadio« gesteckt. Nach dem Motto: Niemand ist näher am Geschehen als die Hörer selbst, soll jeder User durch die App zum Reporter werden können

Sharing The Future“: Radiodays Europe 2013 in Berlin
Berlin - Mit den Radiodays Europe 2013 findet in Berlin in der kommenden Woche vom 17. bis 19. März das größte pan-europäische Radio-Branchentreffen statt. Zu der Konferenz im Congress Center, die von der ARD, der Radiozentrale, dem VPRT und weiteren Organisationen mitorganisiert wird, kommen Vertreter zahlreicher Radiostationen zusammen, um sich über Themen wie (digitale) Radio-Strategien, neue Programmformate, Forschungsergebnisse und Business Modelle auszutauschen. Darüber hinaus bieten sie Radiodays Europe Ausstellern, kommerziellen Geschäftspartnern und Sponsoren eine breite Palette an Möglichkeiten zur Eigenpräsentation.

Radiodays to największa, coroczna konferencja radiowa w Europie skupiająca
reprezentantów liderów rynku radiowego zarówno publicznego jak i prywatnego.

W dniach 17 - 19 marca 2013 r. miejscem spotkań radiowców z całego świata
stanie się Berlin. Tematem przewodnim konferencji jest "Sharing Radio's
Future", dlatego sesje będą prowadzone pod kątem nowości w branży, badań
oraz rozwoju jaki spotka radio w przyszłości. W tym roku zaplanowanych jest

Radiodays Europe  -  Angst, sich selbst zu zerfleischen
Europas Radiobranche hat sich nicht gerade die beste Zeit für ein Treffen ausgesucht. Wenn sie sich vom 17. bis zum 19. März in Berlin zu den vier- ten Radiodays Europe einfindet, wird die Krise des alten Kontinents in vielen Vorträgen Thema sein. Denn die Sorgen um Euro und Konjunktur halten längst auch die Chefetagen von Endgeräteher- stellern, Netzbetreibern und Radiosen- dern in Atem. In den meisten Ländern laufen die Geschäfte schleppend und das lässt die Entscheider vor neuen Projekten zurückschrecken.

Over 1000 påmeldte til RDE
Til tross for at det i år er plass til langt flere enn i fjor, er Radiodays Europe 2013 snart utsolgt. To uker før konferansen starter er det allerede over 1000 påmeldte, opplyser Radiodays Europe. Det er fortsatt noen billetter igjen, men salget vil bli stengt i løpet av få dager.
