Dublin will be host city for
Radiodays Europe 2014

Radiodays Europe, the world´s largest international radio conference with 1200 delegates, will next year be held in Dublin, Ireland on the 23-25 March 2014.

The conference venue will be the world class  Convention Center Dublin (ccd), right by the river Liffey in central Dublin. Convention Center Dublin was opened in 2010 and has won awards for being one of the best conference venues in the world.

Radiodays Europe is welcomed to Dublin by IBI, the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland, and RTÉ, the Irish public broadcaster, in association with BBC Northern Ireland.

“It makes sense for Radiodays Europe to move to the English speaking part of Europe for the 5th edition in 2014. We have so far been in the North (Copenhagen), the South (Barcelona) and in the centre (Berlin).

“Dublin is a wonderful destination and the venue is state of the art and suitable for Radiodays Europe.  This, and the dedication of our Irish radio partners, will make sure that Radiodays Europe 2014 will be an extraordinary experience”.

Fans not listeners Sam Cavanagh tells RadioDays Europe

There was a terrific response in the room to the talk given by fellow Australian, Sam Cavanagh. Sam is the Executive Producer of the Hamish & Andy Show. At the heart of his talk was an idea around how the program team treated their audience. As he spoke, with a great deal of passion, there was a real sense of excitement in the room around the idea of seeing your audience as “fans”, not “listeners.”

Radiodays: Don’t stop the flow NRJ France

BLOG: NRJ France’s listenership has grown by 1 million listeners a year for the past three years. To explain this impressive growth Morgan Serrano, Director at NRJ France and NRJ International, Gaël Sanquer, Director of Antenna NRJ France and International, and Olaf Hopp, CEO at NRJ International, presented five key drivers behind the success of their brand:

1. NRJ uses an aggressive music strategy. They play a song as soon as it appears on the web.

  1. The station relies on powerful morning and evening shows. NRJ invites listeners into the studio and stars are a regular feature.
