RDE-Participants: Last days planning tips for Berlin 17 - 19 March

Welcome to a great Radiodays Europe
in Berlin 17 – 19 March!

Have you told your Twitter followers where you are going?  Use #rde13!

The interest in this year´s Radiodays Europe has been overwhelming.  The delegate numbers are up from 800 last year in Barcelona to more than 1100 in Berlin 17 – 19th March.  It will be the largest radio event of its kind in the world!

It's great to be many.  But...

...imagine 1100 participants all arriving just 15 minutes before the opening of the conference Monday morning the 18th at 0900 and all trying to collect their participant badges at the same time.  Yes, that is our worst nightmare.

Avoid ending up in the back end of such a long queue in this way:

  • You can collect your badge during the Welcoming Reception in Parochialkirche on Sunday from 1900 to 2100.
  • Or you can come in early for a morning coffee, a chat with old and new radio friends and have time for picking up your badge during the hour from 0800 to 0900 at Berlin Congress Center on Monday.

Make registration go fast and simple

Print out and bring along documentation for paid participant fee for conference - and for workshop, if you have registered for this.  This is especially important if you paid an invoice during the last couple of weeks to Radiodays Europe’s bank account.  If you have not paid, you can pay in cash at the registration desk.

Times and places to remember

  • Sunday 17.3 at 1400     at Berliner Congress Center, Alexanderstrasse 11, near Alexanderplatz: Pre-conference workshops and Berlin Tours

Plan your conference with the PDF of printed programme now on the web

A 68-pages printed programme will be available for you at the venue on Monday morning.  It contains information about all the sessions, speakers, pre-conference activities and evening reception.

But you can take a sneak preview for the printed programme already now!  Look through it or print it out for planning sessions to attend and activities to take part in during your days in Berlin.

New on programme

Tone Donald, Head of P3, NRK, Norway has been added as the fifth speaker in the sparkling creative session “25 ideas in 45 minutes”.
In the session about “How to keep Radio in the Top of Mind for Advertisers” Damian Rodgett now joins the panel.  He is creative director of pilot which is the largest stand alone German full service creative agency.

Tips before you go

Take a look at the extra activities where pre-registration is recommended
-    Three exclusive workshops with top qualified leaders on highly relevant themes: Editorial leadership, verification of news from social media and radio sales bootcamp.  Read more and register.
-    Of the four Berlin Tours arranged by our German radio partners on Sunday from 1400, Tour 1 “Along the historical borderline” is now fully booked.  But there are places left on the three others.   Read more and register.
-    And not to forget – the Monday afternoon Field trip to Haus des Rundfunks – one of the oldest broadcasting houses in Europe with a dramatic radio history and a top modern tri-medial newsroom.  Read more and register.

Consider the last minute opening for hotel rooms at speakers hotel near venue.  After filling up hotels Indigo and Holiday Inn with Radiodays Europe speakers and staff, we have some rooms left open for participants.  Check out the hotel on the web and book from for 100 euro pr night 17th to 19th March.

With all this in mind - welcome to an exciting
and useful experience in Berlin in just a few days!

We are looking forward to see you all!
